The Million Dollar Death!

“Quick Take”

Last Monday night on RAW the walls came tumbling down on the million dollar give away as the last cash call came to an end.

In what some may view as a jab at the real world death that occurred in TNA a few weeks back the RAW set fell apart at the end of the show causing Vince McMahon to fall off stage under more falling debris of the set.

This was the end to a disastrous gimmick aimed at drawing in new fans.

Question is, “was it really a shot at TNA” or just WWE scrambling to end a horrible idea as quickly as possible?

The Return of The Ultimate Warrior

Nu-Wrestling Evolution
NWE

Full report from NWE below:

On the arena screen the Madrid show images are transmitted with the challenge of Warrior to Orlando Jordan and the consequent preparations of the two wrestlers to the match: Warrior, as family man, is dedicated to a very hard training, surrounded by his familiars; Orlando, as man without values and dedicated to vices, trains always surrounded by many women and champagne.

The first to enter in the arena is Jordan , accompanied by his main lady Regina , under a fall of gold confetties that involves all the venue.

The entrance music plays and here we have the mythical warrior’s run. He, short and greyish hair, returns on the ring with a long and coloured jacket and with the draft of his unmistakable mask on his face, coloured this time of red and white.

null

He agitates the ropes and behind him an incredible draft of pyros is created.

Strong and technical match, with big movements from Warrior who, jumped on the ring pole, launches himself on Jordan from the third rope with a big splash.

null

After more than fifteen minutes of match, Warrior wins the NWE heavyweight title, but then, taken the microphone, he declares that he wants to make the title vacant.

null

The belt will be put as win of a big tournament.

WWE desperate for ratings! (new publicity stunt)

Vince McMahon answers the current drop in ratings for his flagship program RAW by setting up a million dollar lottery. To win the 1 million dollar prize contestants will have to both sign up at the WWE website and also tune in to WWE RAW every week to receive a code in case their name is called as the winner.

This is the most desperate act to date by WWE. It’s really quite ridiculous but at the end of the day it shows that Vince McMahon will do anything to keep his product over.

Lets see if this new stunt will actually work.

TNA Sacrifice breakdown

1. AJ Styles has been a clown wrestler for so long that when he tries to be serious and pull out one of his “huge pop” moves he botches it at the ppv. Who’s really to blame for that? Of course AJ blames himself but still ..

2. Egotistical 8 all lose in the 1st round. What was the sense of doing that when TNA could have used real tag teams/stables.

1. Rock-N-Rave (Rave wasted at ppv)
2. Motor City Machine Guns (wasted at ppv)
3. Scott Steiner & Petey Pump (no serious title match & didnt wrestle at ppv)
4. Black Reign & Rellik (not on ppv)

If TNA HAD used teams that already work together the match quality would have been better and the tournament would have looked legitimate.

3. Fire Russo chants on the hair shaving of Roxxi. MESSAGE!

4. If Scott Steiner is NOT worthy of a 1 on 1 world title match WHY did TNA allow him to win the briefcase challenge? Makes no sense!

5. LAX winning back the tag team straps and Gail Kim becoming number 1 contender again (nice ladder match) were the ONLY good points of the ppv.

** For some reason it looked like some of the wrestlers were not focused in this show. Why?

The King could rip this ppv to shreds but will give TNA a pass (for the most part) this time since the right tag team won the tournament and Gail Kim is back where she should be. **

Oh yeah .. Lose the horrible Terrordome! Looked like a parrot cage.

TNA short take : "Ratings"

TNA’s ratings have been going down since Samoa Joe became world champion.

Is this a coincidence? Or is there a message in there??

On another note the AJ Styles -vs- Booker T main event two weeks ago was the 1st Impact main event in a long time that didn’t lose viewers. Instead it gained them.

The last time the main event didn’t lose viewers was when Gail Kim took on Awesome Kong for the KO’s title.

All of this goes back to what The King said months ago.

Gail Kim and Booker T are the biggest draw in TNA right now!

This also shows how AJ as a face is a better draw than him as a comedic heel.
